Market Goals

Vendor Requirements
All vendors must:
- Provide high-quality products
- Maintain a clean and professional booth
- Follow all local and state health regulations
- Obtain all required permits and licenses
- Treat customers, neighboring vendors, and staff respectfully
Vendors are responsible for complying with:
- Salt Lake County Health Department requirements
- Utah Department of Agriculture requirements
- Utah sales tax regulations
- Any applicable city or state permits
Attendance Policy
Booth space is provided free of charge. Vendors accepted into the market are expected to attend all dates they commit to. If a vendor cannot attend, we ask for as much advance notice as possible.
Vendors who fail to attend a confirmed market date without prior notice may be charged a $100 no-show fee and may risk losing priority or eligibility for future market dates.
Our goal is to maintain a reliable and full market experience for guests, vendors, and the community.
Booth Information
Standard booth size is 10' × 10'. Vendors must provide their own:
- Tent or canopy
- Tables and chairs
- Tent weights
- Display materials
Electricity is not available.
Setup & Breakdown
Setup begins at 8:30 AM. All vehicles must be moved before market opening at 10:00 AM. Vendors must remain set up until 2:00 PM. Early breakdown is not permitted without approval.
Vendor Conduct
Vendors are expected to:
- Keep booths staffed during market hours
- Maintain a clean booth area
- Dispose of trash properly
- Operate safely and professionally
- Treat guests and staff respectfully
The market reserves the right to remove vendors who fail to comply with these guidelines.
Product Guidelines
- Farmers & Growers: preference will be given to locally grown produce, flowers, herbs, and farm products.
- Ranchers & Animal Product Producers: products must comply with all health and agricultural regulations.
- Honey Vendors: honey and honey-related products must be properly labeled and approved for sale.
- Packaged Food Vendors: all packaged foods must be prepared in approved facilities and properly labeled.
- Specialty Vendors: should offer handmade, locally produced, or unique products aligned with the spirit of the market.
Weather Policy
The market operates rain or shine unless conditions are determined unsafe.
Insurance
Vendors may be required to provide proof of general liability insurance upon request.
Marketing & Promotion
SugarHood Farmers Market may photograph or promote vendors and booths on social media, websites, and marketing materials. We encourage vendors to help promote the market through their own social channels.
